..........did you know that you can get the TV tuner from Steve with brackets and wiring harnes including shipping for $700 and even thaty is considered expensive? You may wish to significantly change your starting price otherwise, you won't get any bids.

I have a question about this. If the monitor is enabled to broadcast tv stations, how's the quality of the picture? Would it be comparable to a very small color tv's quality?

..........The picture quality is nice when you are stationary. But wonce you start moving, it is quite poor. It is not a function of the MB TV tuner itself, rather it is the case with other TV tuners once you start moving. The unit he is selling will also require and antenna which is not included in the auction and is somewhat difficult to find because it requires WICLIC connectors which are typically not available in USA. Since 2001, you can longer enable the Tv function while driving by using the Star program. There no CD that the dealer has that will do this. You pull your Comand and ship it to NAV-Tv and they will program it for you and send it back to you. Then you can connect the TV tuner and it should work. It should work in any post 2001 mercedes except for the ML.

The asking price represents $400 less that what these items cost me new from Germany. If Steve is selling tuners for half that they are re-cons from MB which I could have bought, but did not. If it doesnt sell I will keep it- some day we will have a use for it.
The antenna is not difficult for me to get from EU. If there should be a buyer and they need a X chassis antenna array I will be happy to get it for them.

.............steve's tuners are not refurbished. When selling a refurbished one, he will inform you that it is. The price of the tuners vary greatly depending on the source. For instance, on german ebay you can get these for $350 while from Megacom they are considerably more expensive. They even more expensive when bought directly from an MB dealer. You must have bought yours from one of the last two sources. Many on the forum purchase from steve and as a result, I thought you should know that your price was unlikely to generate a lot of excitement.

I appriciate your heads up as to my appearently out there prices. As with any other part we need for any MB, I wont go anywhere else other than directly to MB. If I bought to high for resale into a more ICE savy area than I am- Ill eat the TV tuner.
