Rotor and pads change

Have a 2000 S430. It's time to replace the rotors and pads all the way around. Was wondering which rotors and pads you guys recommend whether it be genuine pads or Akebono, genuine rotors or Zimmerman or perhaps another brand, genuine sensors or OEM, etc? I definitely don't want to go cheap but I also don't want to go overboard and get a $3k brake kit at the same time.

Any input is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

If you like your wheels clean of brake dust then definitely go with the Akebono pads.l

I did mine myself few months ago using OEM rotors and Akebono pads and very pleased with them.

There is a lot of good choices out there. I personally went with Stoptech rotors and oem pads. Do have the akebono pads on my wife's X5 and even though the dust is almost non existent unfortunately the performance part is far from the oem. I guess it comes down on what you are willing to compromise with.

I did RockAuto for the least expensive rotors and Akebono pads for my 2005 S55.
I tried cheapo pads.. Way to much dust. Love the rotors, a touch of paint on the visible part and perfect.
