Key wont turn after improper charing of dead battery.
Hello all,
My father left his car in the garage for a few weeks and the battery was dead.
So he tried to jump it with another car but forgot to turn on the car he was using to jump his s500
, at first the key turns but now the key wont turn at all.
Did he blow a fuse of some sort?

Much safer in several respects to fully charge the battery, rather than doing a jump start. Turning on the other car would have made little difference to the situation, unless he let it run for a long time to partially charge his battery.
Go to the Encyclopedia (...START HERE) at the top of the list, click on it and look for the electrical info. Or, you can go to the SEARCH button at the top, click on ADVANCED SEARCH, enter "main fuse", scroll down to W220 Forum, then SEARCH NOW.
