2004 S430MB
comand malfunction
My 2004 S430 doesn't know where it is.
Navigation shows it to be about 30 miles from where it really is.
Which is funny, because if I want to go somewhere using navigation, I have to go to that "current location" first! And to get there, I'm going off road pretty well all the way! Can you imagine? Plus, the "virtual" location is not only 30 miles from the "real" location, it's in the middle of the boonies!
Okay, the car's 12 years old, but I'm 77 and I can still remember where I am (sometimes). Can anyone help me with this?
The other problem is more tacky. Either my (new) battery is being drained by an open circuit somewhere or else somebody's coming around late at night to siphon power out of the thing. I suspect the former. I don't have time to spend weeks pulling about 70 fuses and twenty relays. I need a magic bullet

by no means an expert and barely a shade tree mechanic on MB, but I also have a 04 S430 but you may have a water leak into the audiogateway module or Can Bus Connection. Have the same problem here and that was the diagnosis I received from the MB shop. Not a cheap fix either.
