ABC Fluid
The fluid in the reservoir closest to the front of the car is low. What type of fluid do I need to put in?

You need to use Pentosin. I recently flushed my system and purchased it from Amazon.

Also, you may want to really clean up the area around the reservoir, the system is very sensitive to any kind of dirt particles.

The cap was loose, and it looks like the fluid leaked out. Do I need to use anything in particular to clean it? Thanks again for the help!!

That's a drag, hopefully nothing got in while it was open. Any kind of cleaning material is fine, but more important to make sure the seals/caps on the reservoir are on really tight while you're doing it so nothing gets in.

Our ABC cars have nitrogen filled accumulators and when they fail they blow fluid out the reservoir. Mostly easy to replace and certain ones are more likely to fail. Check out the encyclopedia. Lots of info.

Here is a thread that includes a schematic for the ABC with different Accumulators/Pulsation Dampeners. I just had to replace the pulsation dampener on my SL63 and I flushed the system at the same time.
