RollsMode / DynoMode / Smog Tech Mode / Drive Cycle Emulator DYI
Just wanted to post this article to see if it works or not. Im not the only one who has had a problem with the computer obd2 being "ready" for my smog check. Now after over 500 miles and 5 attempts at doing 3 different "specific" drive cycles my S430 still is not ready. I left the car with a mechanic to get ready to install something almost nobody on this website has mentioned; a "MIL ELIMINATOR" they are available for around $75 and are available for all models of Mercedes Benz . Its the easiest way to eliminate buying a new ECU or reversing mods that make your car not pass smog. They are mostly used for Muscle Cars but thankfully they make them for all types of muscle cars including ours... I remember reading an actual paperback CarAndDriver Mag about 10 years ago.. the wrote, "Mercedes Benz S Class: The muscle of and agility of a Corvette ZR1 with luxury seating for 5. Anyway if anyone gets a chance to check out the attachment Im including with my rambling, The attachment opens a special mode for mbz dealer smog technicians. Check it out let me know..
