A bit more sound from the massive V8

Hello all. I was wondering what I can do to make my car sound slightly louder. Right now all you hear is the engine, I would like it sound stock when driving normally, but a bit louder when the revs are high. Are my only options cutoff valves?

Remove everything behind the cat and put straight pipe

Of course you'll hear the exhaust all the time not just some of the time

I would second an exhaust cutout. Here is how an 03 S430 sounds with the cutouts. I think the sound is muffled on that vid though. The sound should be much better than what you hear on that vid:

Sounds good but I find the V12 badges on a V8 blasphemous!

Incidentally, I still need to get some vids of mine under load. The turbos definitely kill some of the sound. But with my intercooler system temporarily disabled due to those crappy plastic Ys, I haven't been able to beat on it. Still working on getting some steel ones cut and welded up...but it's been so HOT after work that I haven't much felt like cutting, grinding, and welding, lol.

I agree and despise people who do that. It just makes them look low.
