Motor Trend Article on 745i
hi everyone,
i just recieved my new motor trend in the mail. they review the new 745i. i have yet to drive or even sit in the new bmw but i think it's fair to make a few comments.
first off....the car comes across as tedious. especially the interior. simple things like starting the car and putting it into gear seem to me to be overdone. bmw did it different for differents sake.
second....the exterior is polarizing at best. the only view that truly compliments the car is a side view.
third....i drive may turn out to be the greatest thing since sliced bread but...and you can call me silly....i like buttons!
fourth...i think bmw hit a home run with interior materials. i like the softer tones of the dash and wood grains.
fifth...why did bmw chose there flagship sedan to make such a styling change? i would think they would initiate a major styling change with a lower model.
ok....that's my 2 cents worth!

Driving it is an awesome experience. Can't wait to see the v-12 coming out.
Don't like the looks too much by my dealer told me the Li is a much better looking car. Adding six inches is a lot.

The i in 745i stands for "incompetent"
That new 7 series is a dog! It is an ugly piece of machinery. Cars must have even flowing lines. This car is choppy and definitely does not flow visually. What's up with the distorted taillights? No matter with a kit or not the car is plain NASTY. NO COMPARISON TO THE S-CLASS!
By the way, my buddy has an '02 M3 ans just took it to the dealer for service. He is an avid BMW fan. He saw about 5 745i's in service and asked about them. The service rep said there have been enormous amounts of problems with them. One had the entire dash ripped out. The car is basically one moving supercomputer. It's too computer-dependent. There are massive glitches in the car. BMW has announced an official recall already!
ITS UGLY AND CAN BE ATTACKED BY VIRUSES. STICK WITH THE S.
