S500 Airride problem. Help!

S500 Airride problem. Help!
I just bought a 2004 S500 4matic with 28,000 miles on it with no issues at all. Yesterday when I parked it I could hear the compressor running, it ran for about 10 minutes and made a clunking noise before turning off. I drove the car a little and let it sit over night and nothing happened. This afternoon I was driving and the "Airride visit workshop" warning came on the dash. I had it looked at and they scanned it with a code C1517. They said it was due to a sticky valve on the compressor. Anybody have this issue in the past or any ideas on best way to fix it?? Thanks

If you heard the compressor running for ten minutes after you parked your car , and then it clunked off, the compressor is now trashed . it burned itself up as a result of the airmatic relay failing in the "always on " position . This relay is a common failure item and when it fails it destroys the compressor . You Must change your relay otherwise it will burn up the new compressor !!
if your car is not yet slammed to the ground immediately drive it to your repair shop , it will soon end up in the ground and once it's that low even a toe truck will damage it .
It it willneed a new airmatic relay and a new compressor . You can get the relay from any good online vendor like autohausAZ and Arnott sells lifetime guarantee compressors for about $300
