Has anyone have personal experience? I'm looking to buy a $40K car

Besides the condition of the car, what paperwork, hassle or ease should I expect from buying a car from eBay?

Does it help if I buy eBay in the same state/city?

Watch out on ebay, its a great place to get a great deal, but there are scammers, if you have any brains you will be able to tell a scam, and since you are looking for an S Class you must be a person with brains lol

edit: r u buying a s class? i forgot about the 40k car part.

Indeed, S price on ebay very rarely goes over $26k.

I bought my 2002 S-430 off of ebay. I live in Northern Virginia and bought the car from the Houston, texas. Everything worked out. Only saw pics of the car. The paperwork part isnt that bad. Once you buy the car just talk to the dealer and he will tell you what he needs and what not. My mom is a regional bank manager so for me to get loan and all the paperwork done was a piece of cake. Goodluck and becareful. Definitly get your car shipped in an enlcosed trailer. It may cost but its worth it. Let me know if you have anymore questions

there are alot of good dealers you can buy from on ebay, and like i said, you will be able to tell between a scam and the real thing. just give us the link if you need comfirmation.
