Comand not synced with instruments cluster and steering wheel

Hello,
I own a 2004 S500 W220 with MOST comand system.
I had a problem a few months ago when somehow water entered my trunk and as a result my AGW was destroyed.
Today, after a lot of searching I found a used AGW unit from E Class and my comand worked right away after installation.
Radio, CD... everythnig works, but it is not synced to styeering wheel anymore. I can't adjust clock from comand, but more important, steering wheel functions dont work. It just shows ---- when i select NAVI, AUDIO, TEL.....
I tried reseting comand and instruments cluster settings but to no succes.
If you have some suggestion, I will be grateful.
I did not try disconnecting battery yet, and I somehow doubt it will work.
Maybe because AGW is from E class, but they look identical, and E class also has multifunctional sw, so I hope it isn't the issue.
Thanks

If everything is plugged in properly you may need to get it programmed by STAR system.

Do you know history/build of the E it was in?

Thanks,
I gave the car to my mechanic to try that.
I don't know which e class was agw from. I got it on a junk yard.... It just had the same connections and after plugging everything in, the head unit worked right away. Everything was back.
I think that agw is basically the same for S class and E class, because the original one I had looked exactly the same.
It has some connections that are not connected, and never were, but I suppose that those for speakers in E class. In S class I have Bose amp where the speakers get plugged...
I hope he will have some success.
