Talking Newbie

Hello fellow Mercedes owner. I would like to introduce myself as a newbie and a lurker for the past 2 days. We (this car is shared amongst the family but I drive it the most...only on a monthly basis) have an S500 with barely 10k- popular silver with grey on the inside. The airbag sensor came on last week-so time to go to the dealer. Is this proper etiquette to comlain in an introduction ? We were thinking of getting the extended warranty. There's no way that we're going to hit the 100k mark, but we were thinking of the coverage for the next, I believe, 3/4 years.
(note to self: check with dealer ) AFter reading the forums, I would like to be active here.
I've been an active member on Club Lexus, and that was where I got the referrral to come here. "I see lots of nice Mercedes here". I see lots of owners upgrade the taillights and clear headlights. I have gain lots of informations here already!!! I can see where I'm going to be spending my work schedules.

Thank you DMI+RY for welcoming and the info on the extended warranty. I am clueless and haven't been looking into the extended warranty b/c I assumed to go to the dealer and get it through-didn't realize to get the one online. Thanks

Unfortunately, MB offers Starmark extended warranty upt to 7yr/100k mi ONLY if you buy it within the first year of the vehicle...
If you past 12 months - they won't sell you that warranty...

In that case the only solution is aftermarket extended warranty (actually MB reselling one of the aftermarket warranties with their brand on it).

Oh crap! Thanks for the info. I guess it will be aftermarket warranty then.
