Privacy Glass fitting, factory or not?

To be specific im talking about UK/Europe S-Classes, maybe its the same for the American ones.

Basically want I want to know is the process of fitting privacy tinted glass, is it done in the factory or is it done by a third party company? Reason I ask is because on the S55, the glass has a Pentagon label on it, which is a glass company which specialises in tinting. I've looked on their site and their "Midnight Tint" matches ours, light tint on the passenger and driver side and black out on the rear passenger and rear window.

Do you think it was therefore fitted after the car came out the factory? Reason I ask is we have a new S55 coming in about a weeks time, which doesn't have the "Midnight Tint" and my old man is convinced that he doesn't want people messing with the glass outside the factory because it would "ruin" it

I would be most grateful for peoples input on this.

Cheers
