100,000 On My 2000 S

Hey guys,

I just hit 100,000 miles on my 2000 S430.

I used to commute from Long Beac, CA to Carslbad - about 75 miles each way...

Anyway... The only issue I've had is that the suspension pump went out once.. $750. Not so bad to still turn the heads at the club.

Anyone else have miles like this? The last dealership I took it to said I was crazy and to buy a 325i to commute in. I laughed at him.

Mike

too many to list
Way to go! Our 2000 S500 has almost 75,000 miles on it. We didnt drive it much the first year, but since then we drive it everywhere. Dont buy a 325i to commute in, we buy these cars to drive em not to let them sit in the garage and look pretty.

Hey, that's awesome!
Let's hope the W220s are able to survive as long, if not, longer, than the W140s.

I'm sure current w220's will go over 100k with no probs...MB's engines are designed to last, it's their electronics that are the culprit of problems

i've seen an SLK with over 400k, w220 with over 134k, ML320 with over 200k.

Hussain knows where its at I pay so much money to own the car i wouldnt even consider getting a second car to commute.

My 99' has 78k and is immaculate condition. Ive seen 95' 740's with 170k miles and in excelent mechanical condition- just part of owning a German car So 134k is the current record mile holder for the w220?

My S430 with 115K in Cali

I have S430 in California, it has been a great car besides the suspension pump, transmission replacement and navigation system. All gone bad. The trasmission(85K) and the suspension(60K) was under warrenty (no problem)> However this navagaiton systems after warrenty. I went to dealer and they told me something like 5K to replace the command unit, after charging me 1K to debug the issue. So I went to ebay and bought a used one for $500 and replaced it myself in 10min. I love Mercedes, my father has been a proud owner of a few, however I will never buy a "first ed" again. Wait till they take the bugs out. The only problem I am haveing now is my front right suspension is maiking noise when the airmatic kicking its like a click click noise. I will take it to the dealer soon.
