Super cold temps on East Coast, does your w220 act weird or creak?
Every car I've had, with living in PA, when temps go below 15, weird things happen. Just wondering if anyone has noticed any creaks or odd noises. Here it's been about 9 degree's the past few days!

That looks like a W221....
Funny you said that, here in CT it's been REALLY cold. Few things I noticed:
-Engine does seem louder on the start while warming up
- I noticed my speedo display has some lights that are dim but that goes away quick. (km lighting mostly)
- Switching Climate control display take second to completely switch the view (and sticks on for a second).
- Car also takes a LONG time to get the heat, even after 15 min it's still not that hot to be honest (I might have an issue here, but I can live with it)
- Engine temp gauge stays 5-10 below 80, usually it gets to 80
Ohh yea, my brake pedal squeak is gone.....

It definitely has been extreemly cold here in Massachusetts for the past 2 weeks. near Zero degrees almost every night and not reaching 20 degrees during the days.
My wife's S430 has had the suspension fall overnight because of the cold. I'm certain it's the airmatic valve block.
My S430 has had the dim instrument lights which brighten after just a little time. My driver's turn signle in the mirror has an occasional error. I think the soft close for the driver's door has acted up a little too....not sure if it's just ice getting in the way or if the rubber seals are hard and messing with where the door catches.
Hopefully this Arctic weather doesn't last much longer.

One standard maintenance chore that is rarely done is to renew the desiccant in the Airmatic pump. When it get old and useless, the system picks up moisture from the air. In very cold weather, the moisture freezes in lines and valves, causing leakage and malfunctions.

Once the new desiccant is in place....will it remove the moisture that's already in the system that seems to be freezing in the airmatic valve block?

Yes - eventually. It only removes moisture on new air coming into the system, so it will take some time to gradually exchange the air in the system. I suppose that you could bleed air out by cracking one of the lines on a front strut, but I have not tried it, and have no real idea whether or not it will help.
