rear door window not functioning properly

I have a 2001 S500 (W220). the other week the wife mashed the right rear door requiring it's replacement. picked up the car yesterday and notice that the window is not functioning as it should. when putting the window down using one touch, the window stops about 2" from completely open. it opens completely if I hold the button down. going up, the one touch feature doesn't work at all causing me to have to hold the button until it shuts completely. Does the car need to learn about the new appendage (door)?

thanks for any help you can provide.

Try running the window down and continuing to hold the button down for three or four seconds. Then run it up and continue to hold the button for three or four seconds.
