2005 S430 Blower Motor works sometimes
I checked the voltage going to the blower motor using the "REST" button menu and on MAX, (number 10) showed 5.9 volts. What I've read is it should be at (or near) 6 volts on MAX.
So, that means it should be the Blower Motor itself or the Regulator, right?
Well, if the blower came 'ON' about 45 minutes into my ride without any weird noises coming from the motor, then it can't be the blower motor, right?
I'm just trying to narrow it down without opening the underside of the passenger's dash and actually testing the motor.and wires going to the regulator.
Any thoughts?
BTW, the car has 250752 miles on it and I believe it's the original blower motor.

If you do decide to look at the system, be sure to look carefully for any traces of heat damage on each of the connections. A poor connection often causes heat.

I was able to pick up a regulator at a local salvage yard so if it acts up again, I'll have that to install and inspect the wiring while I'm in there.
Good luck.
