2002 S500
Gas Mileage on S500
On the screen which gives the miles and hours since reset I see that my S500 is getting on 16.7 mpg and that I am averaging 24 mph. I reset the screen when I fill up on gas. I live in Los Angeles and drive in heavy traffic (I-10). I expected better gas mileage. What are others getting?

I am getting on After Reset screen (haven't reset for about a month) about 16.5 mpg
I live in Northern NJ and doing a lot of trips in NYC in heavy traffic.
On the After Start screen on long highway trips with average or light traffic I saw 22+ mpg
For 5.0L engine it is not bad at all!
A few years ago my '96 W140 used to barely averaged 12 mpg on mixed driving
