W220 S320 722.618 transmission dillema (pls help)

Good day to all of you,
New to your forums and very much need your expert advise.
My car is a 1999 W220 S320 with a 722.18 transmission.
My issue is that when my car is up to normal operating temp. When in putting it in Drive from a standstill and step on the accelerator, it jerks as if your stepping on the gas then braking the gas and braking.. sort of like jerk jerk jerk. (Hope you can imagine =). When its cold absolutely no issues.
prior to this happening.. i did have the the coolant from radiator issue which mixed in my transmission...but didnt drive it far.
Things i did...
- changed the radiator
- flushed the transmission using only recommended oem atf (many many times over until the fluid was red and clear of any coolant) very expensive flushing indeed.
-bought an ebay dipstick and followed the proper fill as said your forums guidlines. Measured at 80 deg.
- had it scanned (Boss elite scanner) , came up with DTC 115 Y3/6s1 and y3/6b1 and dtc 151 (the gear comparisson is sporadically negative)
-pulled down the transmission oil pan
-replaced the following
* all oem.= 13 pin connector (was not wet with atf)/ transmission filter /pwm or tcc solenoid (updated one / and changed the conductor plate.) And yet another flush
-had it scanned again...codes were clear.
-changed bnew MAF / bnew DIN 100 battery
drove it.
And yet it still happens only when its hot. Jerk jerk jerk...
-but when when its already up to speed and mash it..no more jerks. Up until i stop..then drive from a stop...again jerk jerk jerk.
-strange no dtc's. (Errors). Although tranny fluid does smell a bit burnt.
Shifts well and jerk doesnt happen in reverse. Just forward.
Any technical advise would be highly appreciated.
godbless you all.

Thanks for the reply.
could be or perhaps other internal damage....im just thinking of swapping out a different transmission.
would swapping a 722.696 (came off a w203) v6 work with my 722.18 (current)..everything physicaly looks the same. And their stamped numbers are identical 140 271 26 01?

Well done indeed!
It sounds like you did all the right things.
Did you use the transmission whole - including the torque converter and valve block?
I guess you must have used your existing TCM?
That being the case it will need some time to adapt to the new transmission before you get fully smooth changes.

Mercedes
I wonder if the v12 cars will accept the much cheaper v8 transmission.

Yes, they bolt right up.

The TT's are a bit different though. They're about 10mm longer and some of the interfacing components are different - mounting, propshaft, dipstick tube, selector link....

Found out the hard way, as usual.
