S430 Intermitant start.....fuel pump?

2002 S430
S430 Intermitant start.....fuel pump?
My 2002 S430 will occassionally not start. When the problem occurs, I can not hear the fuel pump ENGAGE and if I toggle the ignition between off and on several times I will hear the pump eventually come on and pressurize and it will start. When the pump does not come on, the car does not turn over. Fuses are all good. Could it be the ignition switch going out? Thanks for any help!
