I have 2005 S500 with intermittent issue of when I put the left turn signal, the frequency of tick-tick sound is rapid as compared to normal working times. With that I get the message saying turn indicator lamp issue. This issue happens randaomly and only certain times. Cannot tell under what circumstance. Most of the time left turn signal works correctly.

Any pointers will be helpful.

Check the LEDs in the mirror. Possible problems include poor connection inside the mirror housing, and broken wire where the wires flex when the mirror folds.

Mine does this on-and-off for years now, but always fixes itself. If you look at the outside, the other lights flash at the normal speed, not at the high speed click-click.
I live with it.
