Call me crazy but I kinda like the way the spare wheel looks.
Hypothetically, if I was to get 3 more and run a full set of these spare wheels, could I run theme everyday?
I know some spare wheels are only meant to be run for 50 miles or at low speeds.
Most companies limit speed in spare wheels as they are thin donuts . But The w220 spare is full size .
so Is it because the wheels aren’t strong enough ? No way , the wheels must meet tuv requirements
it also seems many of the tires are full size normal spec tires . If they are special “spare only “ tires inflated to 60 psi then yes you need to maintain low speed . At least the 18 inch spare tire is a zr rated Michelin , so it can handle the speed
then comes the issue of mismatch . For example the 18 inch spare is a 245/45/18. That matches the front of cars with amg package but is a mismatch for the rear staggered size . And it appears the spares are steel wheels versus the aluminum main wheels. Therein likely lies the mismatch in weight and sizing causing the low speed recommendation .
but if all 4 of your wheels are matching steel spares with matching weight and tire size and proper speed rated tires , there should not be an issue
