First, "help me" is a useless thread title, as it doesn't tell anyone whether they should read the thread or not, nor whether or not they might be able to help. A title such as "Key Fob No Longer Works" is more likely to get you help.
Unlocking the doors is done by transmitting RF (Radio Frequency) from the fob to the antenna in the top of the rear window, and is powered by the batteries in the fob.
Turning the ignition switch is powered inductively from the ignition switch to the fob, and has no connection or relationship to the lock/unlock function or the batteries.
Did either function work just before you changed the batteries?
Did you have problems opening the fob?
Do you have the second fob?
Does the car have Keyless Go?
