Auto Door & Trunk Locks

There is a complex electrically-driven PSE (Pneumatic Service Equipment) pump located behind the trunk lining in the forward left corner. The computer-controlled pump furnishes both pressure and vacuum to operate door, trunk and gas door locks, iinflatable seat cushions and rear seat headrest operation. The PSE system can be manually reset by removing the light found behind the right rear passenger's heels and removing then reseating the yellow 20-Amp fuse found near the inboard end of the row.
If the PSE pump is replaced, it must be coded to match the equipment installed in the particular car, using the DAS (Diagnostic Assistance System), the dealer-level computer system. DAS is virtually required if you plan to do serious maintenance on our cars, and can be bought for $400 - 600.

Also, if the pump goes bad, there is usually a reason elsewhere. There could be a leak in the system (usually on the door actuators) and they cause the pump to overheat trying to keep pressure. I had leaks on all of my doors plus the trunk actuator.
Replaced all the actuators and installed a used pump from another S600. Works great now except for the trunk auto close / open feature since that seems to be the only thing not working that would require coding.
