Loss of power when accelerating

Topped my S class (W220) off with gas last night. Started my car this morning, let it run for about 10 minutes. Pulled out of the driveway, and everything was normal. Im driving down the street, it shifts from 1st to 2nd like always, but all of a sudden, my accelerating just stopped, it was like i took my foot off of the gas and was just coasting. I took my foot all the way off of the gas and then pressed the gas petal again, the car responded, but wouldn't shift into 3rd gear, it just died again. I turned around and i had to constantly let off the gas petal and press it again to make it back home. Does anyone have any idea whats going on? BTW no engine like on, 1 pending code for a 02 sensor.

Your gas pedal is bad . They are electronic . Easy 5 minute replacement

only buy a new one as many used ones for sale are defective

I wouldn't count on that being a permanent fix...

It's a possibility. Disconnecting the battery in this car really doesn't do much. So, your action hasn't really corrected anything. Your symptoms match the symptoms of a failing pedal, but without more diagnosis, it's hard to tell...
Any chance that you've got access to SDS? It would help to know the codes/faults that it reveals...
