Hi MBworld,
I am a new member, thank you for a good forum.
I have just bought a W220, 320 CDI, 2003, driven 328000km.
I recognized that the old alternator first kick in about 2000rpm. So I replaced the alternator to a new one and a new full charge battery was fit in.
Now the alternator makes a little more power, but still first kick in about 2000rpm, when warm less rpm. After this it’s makes power like normal.
The new alternator is this type with a freewheel clutch.
So can you please help me sort this problem out?
Thank you very much from Denmark.

So it doesn't charge at all at idle speed? ie 12.6 or lower volts measured at the battery idling.

this has already been dealt with on the other forum. Don't duplicate or start the same thing here.
Thats correct, when motor is warm, it less rpm. Do you have any ideas?
