overfilled motor 113 Vent.
hi.
I went to harbor freight tonight and got me a 9qt oil extractor.
I figured it would make oil changes so much easier, and it did.
its an amazing thing.
Here is the rub.
Back in dec I got a free oil change flyer at the MB dealer near my job.
So right after Christmas I took it in for that offer.
The ******* dealer put a little over 9qts in the motor!
I only know this because my 9qt extractor filled to the top, and i had to empty it out.
I reattached it and ended up sucking out a little more oil before i started getting bubbles and air only.
Im a little pissed that I was driving around for 5k miles with that much oil in the car.
Tonight I did the filter and added 8.5qts to the car.’
No damage seems to have been done. I just wanted to vent for a second.....
