The Ultimate Q-Ship Build
I have been working on the ultimate q-ship build to add to my collection.
Bought an ‘05 S600 Sport blk/blk with 73k miles this past January.
Done so far:
-body from 2002 S500 pre-facelift: front amg sport bumper, hood, grill, headlamps, side sills, side mirror turn signals, rear tail lamps, rear bumper, AMG mono blocks 18” with contis, cut off exhaust tips, welded on S500 hidden tips for the no show bumper.
-full dealership reconditioning: motor and tranny mounts, two coil packs, intake and turbo seals, and all possible maintenance (plugs, fluids, filters).
-renntech r3 package: 650 hp, 800lb/ft
-k40 built in radar system, controls hidden in the astray compartment
-andriod 9.0 infotainment system for w220
-full interior exterior detail, leather is almost like new.
-debadged.
As far as a q-ship, does it get any better? The beautiful classic and reserved Benz looks of the 00-02 S500 and more power/tq than a new S65. And the car is flawless. I will be listing it for around $35k (about what I have into it). Take it or leave it kind of deal - I’ll be enjoying it in the meantime. Every part but radar and infotainment is oem.
