Volume low on CDs no audio on radio
Greetings,
Thanks so much for a great forum and excellent resources!!
I have been reading up for the past couple of weeks. I researched the audio problems on the start here link and searched Google and various forums before posting.
I have aW220 2001 320 CDI it does not have the Bose upgrade, there is no external amp next to the CD changer. I am guessing my system plays via the amp in the head unit? Is that correct? Or is it missing?
I have no moister/water/damp issues the CD changer is dry (but definitely no external amp) . I have low volume on the CD and no volume on radio. I have attached a couple of pics I found a broken earth cable in the CD changer recess. Is this the reason? Maybe?
Any advice greatly apprciated!
Cheers Martin

I ran the Comand diagnostics and the only active fault code is B1779 - Fault in CAN communication with TV Tuner
Could this be a cable, has an other member had experience with this fault code or offer any advice?
Is this related to the no the no volume I am experiencing? Anyone?
Many thanks
