Air Strut leak
Hi all,
I will describe the issue with full history. After replacing the car compressor(used one) from 2 months ago and check the car at Star, only little leak in the line between the compressor and valve(valve block leaking) but all other tests is ok. From two weeks ago I got rear right tire puncture so I fit the spare tire which different size from other tires, sure many warning I gets and no more power after 50KM/H and ESP abnormal behavior , then I notice hssss sound every couple of seconds and compressor engaged during trip of 500M 2 to 4 times, I have replaced the spare tire with the primary one but hsss sound still and compressor works too much.. The car stopped for more than 24 hours and no sign of leak, I checked it at STAR no issues at all and only the same minor leak as before. But filter hose cracked, i replaced it with new filter and hsss sound gone. In the same day after the hose replaced I parked the car whole night and in the morning the car level is too low at all tires, I power on the car and it raised up then I turn off and lock the car, after 3 minutes I measure the height of all side as follows FR and FL 37.5cm, RR 34.5cm and RL 36.5, after 6 hours FR and FL is 36.5 but RR is 29cm and RL is 33cm, now I think it is RR strut leaking so I did soap test at the top of the strut no sign and at the line attached to compressor no signs so I turn the car and raise it with the buttom now and measure the vakues as follow FR AND FL 41 cm while RL 38.5cm and RR 36cm.
My question why the leak start after replacing the filter and is the leak came after the using spare tire for couple of days. Please advice.
Update: I measure it now after 2 and half hours and the results FR, FL 41cm, RL 39cm and RR 37cm.
I am confused is it a leak or ride height sensor issue or something unknown and fixed please help please.
Note: I cant get new parts in lebanon, Due to corona virus and economy crisis can't get valve block now, due to lockdown it takes too much time to replace the soare tire.
