Speed Sensor Hell

I have an 01 S500 had the car for a year now and when I first got it It had no dash lights on I replaced all 4 shocks and in the process had one of the brake calipers on the wrong side of the shock, after install so detached the line put it in the right place, reattached the line. After I started the car the ABS light came on. bought a scan tool and it says "lateral speed sensor initialization error" so I replaced it to no avail still have the same message So over the course of a year here is what I have done to try and solve the problem on my scan tool it only shows I have 3-speed sensors, not 4 it shows the rear left sensor is not there and has no readings from it i.e. voltage and so on if I unplug it I get abs esp warning lights had it scanned by STAR comes back that everything is perfect no problems. I replaced the whole wheel hub assembly 3 times nothing the sensor itself 2 more times for a total of 5 times and still the same error message and ABS light is still on. I replaced to wiring to the sensor in the wire loom of the car not all the way from the computer but as far down as I could underneath the rear seat and nothing. If I unplug it I lose my speedo and ABS ESP warning lights come on so it is functioning but still coming up with the initialization error. At this point, I have no clue what else I can do. I have researched this issue on every website and forum I can find and I cannot find anybody with the same issue. Any ideas or suggestions would be welcome. Thank you

Lateral speed is not a wheel speed sensor, that should be in your airbag control module... what is the actual code you have?

You've wasted all this time and money but yet you haven't thought to pay a small fee to have it properly diagnosed by a competent repair shop?

Yes I took it to my local Independent shop they hooked it up to star and the only issue was the front speed sensors which I replaced after that I have not brought it back but the odd thing is, is that star recognized all four speed and said there was no problem.

Yeah that isn't a wheel speed sensor. It should be under the center console area.
