could stuck shifter repair cause airmatic leak?

2004 s500
could stuck shifter repair cause airmatic leak?
i repaired my stuck shifter then right rear started slow drop. could I have inadvertently damaged an air line? cannot find a diagram showing exact route of the air lines.2004 s500 base

Not likely, especially if you properly jacked the car.. The air lines run from the right front corner of the car (just behind the headlight) down the side of the car and up to the outer corners of the area under the rear window (inside the car, under the pop-off covers).

No airlines run close to the shifter. Nothing that you can do to the shifter is at all likely to cause an Airmatic problem.
The most likely cause is a leak in the rolling rubber diaphragm inside the strut. Next most likely cause (much less likely than the diaphragm) is a leaky valve in the Airmatic valve block (on top of the compressor). Next is everything else - pretty unusual, but possible.

yes I jacked the car up. I then ran the compressor before lowering. The reason I inquired if the problem could be related to shifter repair is many diagrams I viewed appear to show the air lines running down the center of the car directly under the shifter console. Did not have the problem with the suspension until immediately after the shifter repair.

You don't have to run the compressor before lowering the car when you jack the car up to do work. The system holds air inside of a tank and if it needs to adjust height, it will use this air as soon as the car's CAN bus wakes up. Waking up happens when you deactivate the alarm or open a door. When the engine runs and the systems sees that the tank needs air, it then sends a "run" signal to the compressor.
Anyways, I realize this doesn't help you right now but, I have done the shifter repair and have done work on the Airmatic system and I can tell you that no lines run close to the shifter at all. Where are you located?
