Diff Swap
Hi Everyone,

New member, long time lurker here. LOL.

I looked for days, but couldn’t find the info I’m looking for.

Does anyone know if the diff from any other models are the same or interchangeable with the W220?

I have a 2002 S500 and am looking at the diff from any of the following 2004 & up models:

W211 E55/W212 E63, W203 C55/ W204 C63, SL55/SL65 R230, or SLK55 R171.

I apologize, but I didn’t quite understand. So I went to MB EPC and looked up the parts and dimensions, but I didn’t understand what to do in WIS, and I don’t know what FUYAA is. LOL

Do you just need a replacement? If so, they are CHEAP on eBay.

Or are you trying to change ratios? That can get really complicated...

I am trying to put in an LSD and they are more readily available for the models I mentioned.

Your car should already have a factory-standard traction control system that is much more capable than a simple limited slip differential.
