2002 S430 w/AMG kit
Can I swap parts?
I have a 2002 S430 w/ AMG kit runs ok for now interior is awesome but it needs a lil work and I just bought a 2001 S500 w/ Lorinser Kit head blown interior shot. I only bought it for the front fenders honestly. Lol Yes I'm putting Lorinzer front fenders on my AMG kit
OK bull**** aside can I swap part from the 500 to the 430? ie: brakes, airmatic shocks, coil packs, Sam's, et al? There's just a couple things on my 430 that need real attention and if I have better stuff on this 500 better use it I hope. Thanks for your input if any.

Well, yes - but...
The W220 has computers scattered all over. Some of these, such as the SAMs, PSE controller, DCMs (Door Controller Modules), TCM (Transmission Control Module), shifter, EIS (Electronic Ignition System), etc., etc., will be adapted to that car and the options that it has installed. As a result, some won't swap at all, such as the shifter and the EIS, both of which are theft-relevant devices. Some might swap, depending upon how well the options on one car match the other, such as the PSE controller, DCMs, SAMs, etc. Some, such as the TCM, will pretty much always swap.
Both of your cars are "pre-facelift", which helps. The COMAND system, for example should be the same (if the cars were built for the same market...). It sounds as if both cars might be full dressed out, which will also help.
Bottom line - try the swap and see - but don't tear anything up or throw it away until the swap is well-proven.
If you have SDS (STAR Diagnostic System - the dealer-level diagnostic and repair system) and you really know how to use it, you can actually check every part on the donor car to see if it will fit on the recepient car.
