2004 AMG Bumper
Anyone know if the new AMG bumpers fit on the 2000 models?? If so does it leave any noticeable gap since the hood is different. Also how much is the grill inserts for this bumper?? The one I'm planning to get only comes with the bumper itself with no grill inserts!? Any help would be great. Thanks!!

you dont have to really change the hood, or get a new grill, you can have a shop machine a very small portion of your original hood to make the bumper fit. i have the amg bumpers in production right now, it will fit directly on without a problem, just tell which year your car is. thankz

03-04 Bumper Will Not Fit older Hoods...
I did this on my '02 S55 two weeks ago. You need an 03-04 HOOD, front grill, bumper impact strips and chrome trims, 3 bumper grill inserts, and don't forget your tow hook cover like I did on mine. I bought all my parts brand new from Mercedes and BuyMbPart.Com (thanks to Ricker55). The facelift including painting and installing cost me around $3800. I thought about just replacing only the AMG bumper and doing modifications to make it fit...but IMO, it looks much more aggressive with the 03-04 Hood with the larger grill.
