New Black Wheels....

Hey FixedUP209....this ones for you baby...Thanks for the advice. Definitely a different look and took me a couple days to get used to it. Unfortunately, the pics dont show the black very well.

Sean's Sister--
tight, very nice... if i were you, since you have the black wheels on you need to drop the car more, like this it makes the wheels look smaller....

Man that is nice!! The wheels make it look very agressive. I agree with alexbenz though... just lower it (with software). Also the chrome trim sends mixed messages; chrome trim says ultra luxury (ala Maybach) but everything else says ultra sporty (ala S55). Now that you have the black wheels, I would remove the chrome trim on the headlights, taillights and door handles. Just my 2.

I agree. The only problem is that I am keeping my Chrome Lorinser LM5s and will putting them back on the car next spring. (The black wheels will be my winter rims...at least for now unless I decide to sell the LM5s). The chrome accents look good with the chrome wheels, although they are a little gaudy (spelling?). Thanks for your "2." If I do sell the Lorinsers, it is definitely something I wil do.

im glad you like the setup mike...as far as the trim pieces go, i agree with esntrk1 they are a bit gaudy but i see where ur coming from as far as your lorinsers go. Also i would deffinatly consinder painting or installing euro strips because the amber side markers stand out too much.

Yeah, I was looking at those Euro Strips before when I had my CLK and I had kind of forgotten about them. Thats a good idea. Doesnt EvoSport have them or maybe it was Performance Products?

1 more question?

What size tires are you running front & rear? I can't believe how aggressive they look in the rear!

Sorry, I didnt fully answer your last question. The tire size in the front is 255/35 and the rear is 275/35. The rear tires definitely look a little "meatier" than the tires I had on the Lorinsers before.

Orange County?

Hey DMike-

Are you in Orange County, CA? I'm thinking I may have seen your car the other day on the 73...

Just wondering. Wild rims, man. I thought about putting the black rims on my black S, but never would have thought about them on a silver one...

Surprisingly Nice...

Do you have pics of your car with the LM6 rims on?

Original poster, I like the alloys, it looks pimp. Not keen on the chrome bits and kit though.

I got it from Performance Products. It has the large star and is the exact same (I have seen them both side by side) as the Lorinser Grill. They have two kinds--one is the smaller star that you can get that is the same as the ones they have on EBay for $125 and the grille with the large star that runs about $400 or so. But much cheaper than the Lorinser that runs $900.

They would look great on your Black "S" Mike. I never thought they would look good on Silver til I saw a couple pics of other cars sporting black on silver. I am in NC so it wasnt me you saw on the "73." Thanks for the comments

you need to have it lowered. i like it except for the taillight rings. i tried it on mine and thought it was over-doing it with chrome. everything else is looking niice.
