Upgrading Stereo System in 2000 430S-Please Help
I own a 430S and would like to know if anyone has knowledge on the ability to install amplifiers while using the same stock stereo system. I am told that because the system is fiber optic that there is no way to tie into it. I know that there are no Pre outs on the back of the deck. I found the amp in the trunk next to the CD changer. Does anyone know if any manufacture makes an after market stereo specificaly for Mercedes that would tie in with the navigation system or has anyone installe a separate stereo system perhaps were the ash tray is located? Idealy if anyone out there has been able to tie in a new amplifier with the existing stereo system, I would LOVE to hear from you. I would really like to have maybe a JL 450X4 amp and the MB Q series components for the doors and some sort of Subs with a separate amp. PLEASE HELP.
