What am I looking at? An S600? An AMG? Both?

2005 MERCEDES BENZ E500 4MATIC, ‘96 Ford Mustang Cobra SVT, ‘15 Ford Fusion SE, ‘06 Toyota Corolla
What am I looking at? An S600? An AMG? Both?
I lost my pale horse, my beautiful 2005 E500 4matic thanks to a Jaguar not paying attention…Anyway, there is something about that body style I really like. So, I found what is supposedly a 2004 S600. I’m a little confused about it though. There are a couple of AMG name plates within the car, the emergency brake pedal says AMG and the engine cover says AMG. I’m still new to the Mercedes World, but I thought the S55 & S65 were the AMGs. Is this an AMG? Is it really a S600?
There are no badges on the outside of the car except for the MB star.
Is there a way to tell by looking at the VIN?

The vin would tell you , type it into carfax
most likely it’s a 600 that someone added eBay amg pedals and badges to it
or it might even be a 430 or 500 with a fake 600 badge , the vin will tell all
