2000 S430 GROUND PROBLEMS
Hello all, I'm experiencing ground problem issues on my 2000 s430 and was wondering if anyone has a clear diagram of all the ground locations,straps, bolts etc on this model? Any help would be greatly appreciated

We need a lot more detail. What symptoms or problems are you experiencing to make you believe you have grounding problems? Most electrical problems on these cars are caused by water intrusion affecting the rear Sam under the rear seat

2000 MERCEDES S430
Many electrical glitches such as dash components randomly working and stopping, long crank times when starting, windows sporadically work and stop and so on. When I researched it does point to a possible grounding issue so I took a multi meter and tested the battery came 12 .5 so all good, but when I went to test the positive to just the negative ground wire separately i have nothing....same if i go from the positive to metal on car body again nothing. Unless I am missing something I believe this points to a grounding problem. I did check for water intrusion on all SAM units including the dreaded one under the back seat and there no water damage on any of them.
I'm mainly looking for a diagram pointing to all the grounding points on the 2000 s430 as for some reason doesn't seem to be posted anywhere I checked on the web.
Any further assistance would be greatly appreciated!

If the earlier W220 is the same as the "face-lift" (2003 - up) versions, there is a main fuse located behind the trunk lining just forward of the battery, and another set under an aluminum cover under the right front passenger carpet.
