2005 S600 Passenger headlight

The passenger side headlight is not working…I’ve checked for voltage at the plug into the headlight assembly and there is none. I’ve checked every fuse available and they are all good. At the same time I’m having issues with my soft close with all doors not working and no power door locks. Could this be a SAM issue? If so does the driver side control the passenger side headlight?

The headlamps have "electronic fuses", which really aren't fuses at all. The SAM monitors current draw on the headlamp circuits, and as you suspect, the drive SAM controls the passenger headlamp. If the current draw is wrong, the SAM will kill the circuit, and recheck when you turn the lights on.
Most S600s have the single-HID bulb with a movable shutter for high/low. Your problem may be the bulb, the ballast or the wiring. One way to check is to swap the bulbs side-to-side. If the same bulb is still out, swap the ballast.

Thanks! These are aftermarket headlight units and after checking the connection again and having the lights off for several hours I turned the headlight switch to on and they now both work properly. So what you said was correct. The sam checked the circuit and determined it was ok to turn the circuit back on.
