AC Receiver Dryer Replacement

AC Receiver Dryer Replacement
The AC in my S500 isn't blowing as cold as hard. Checked the usual suspects (condenser, freon levels, etc.)
No leaks found under vacuum, but I'm a little bit suspicious. Thinking of replacing the Receiver Dryer, found the part online:
https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/mer...ehr-1408300283
or
https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/mer...behr-351196301
Cannot find any info on where it's located.
Any ideas?

I doubt it - that isn't a real common failure. You can check by feeling of the receiver/drying after the AC has been running for a bit. If there is any restriction in the receiver/dryer, there will be a difference in temperature at the restriction. The part or the lines will be colder after the restriction.
You can access the receiver/dryer from under the car by removing the front bottom cover and reaching up into the space between the wheel-well and the air tank.
Do you know how much refrigerant the system should contain? Do you know how much it does contain? How are you judging the amount of R-134A that the system contains?

If you open the hood and look down in the forward left corner of the engine compartment, you can see the top of the receiver/dryer and the lines connecting it. There should be no noticeable difference in the temperature of the lines.
If you remove the forward bottom cover and look up just behind the Airmatic reservoir, you can see the body of the receiver/dryer. There should be no noticeable temperature difference on the body.
You can get a pretty full diagnostic function for the HVAC system on the control panel.

It could be something else. I'm sure there are a good number of errors in the AC system.

I think that essentially every road vehicle built by Mercedes Benz from the late 1990's till now uses DAS. XENTRY is the later gateway app inside DAS for vehicles after about 2000.

This says XENTRY is from 204 onwards. http://blog.obdexpress.co.uk/2018/10...he-difference/
