The diagrams look similar to my W204 e-brake. Remove the e brake pads then open the spreader, knock out the little pin (110 in the diagram) that connects to the cable. Then unbolt (120 in diagram) the cable on the back of the axle carrier.

06 S430
Sorry to bring back this old thread but I just can't figure out how to disconnect the parking brake cable from rear driver's side on my 06 S430. I am installing a new hub with bearing cause mine went out after hitting a pot hole hard. I have not begun removing the hub because I don't want to get stuck with car half taken apart in my apartment complex parking. I already get heat just for putting the hood up to add washer fluid.. I'm also changing the front hub and it seems a little more straight forward. During the last rain in San Diego I was accelerating from a signal light to enter the freeway do I was doing like 50-55mph and I landed hard in this hole that must javelin developed over night cause I travel thus street every day to pick up my kid from school and take him home to his mom's. And just my luck I hit with both left side wheels. Immediately felt a vibration develop and steering wheel felt off. Strange that vibration eventually tapered off and steering wheel somewhat straightened out after driving a few days but the humming sound is getting louder and louder. I'm not comfortable with the parking brake mechanism st all and will appreciate any help in getting this rear cable detached and re-attached on new hub.
