Installing Pioneer head unit
My car is a 2003 S350L,
I have just bought A pioneer SPH-DA250DAB.
I have bought a harness fascia fascand plan to run new wires to new front and rear component speakers and a self powered sub. I will be ignoring and leaving unplugged the old shelf sub and fibre optics.
I have finished wiring my speakers but went to do a test run of my head unit and i realised the pins were wrong on the harness, I have repinned it but it still wont power on and I'm wondering why this is I can figure out the ground and power wires and have swapped around the rest in different combinations but I just can't get it to turn on at all.
I dont want an Android head unit and I don't want to retain steering controls or any factory audio as it's extremely underwhelming and outdated anyway. I know this can be done but there is very little information out there on this sort of audio build and its hard to find anything at all for the 2003 model specifically.
Any help would be appreciated.
Also please note no local shops will do this install for me, an audio specialist 2 hoyrs away said he would take on the job but only if he supplies all parts and is going to be upwards of 1700 when i have already bought everything I need.
Stock radio and wiring attached below for reference
Thank you.
i always fudge up my audio stuff
also with this unit i think you will only have 2 speakers. i even heard that messing with the headunit aftermaker, someone's heat stopped working. its all black magic is seems atleast to me. keep us posted i am excited to hear if you figure it out
