Transmission won’t shift

Transmission won’t shift
Hello all,

My 2006 Mercedes S430 cycles thru PRND albeit very harsh. The main issue is that the car won’t shift out of second or third. The car runs just fine but I redline at about 65 mph. Also when I use my Autel MaxiDAS it won’t read the transmission. Curious if anyone has had this issue also. I’ll check electrical connections tomorrow. Hoping I won’t have to buy a new TCM since that’s expensive and a pain

I’ve gone to three shops now and none of them are able to read it. I’m going to swap the computer and pray for the best

Good that will absolutely not help you. The 722.9 transmission is coded with all the other antitheft systems must be programmed by the dealer.

Yea my indy has a STAR system on his bench so he can program it.

I also have a N80 module CANBUS fault do yall know if that could have any effect on it?
