whats the deal with the CLS

my guess is that MB felt they needed
a car that was roomier than the E but
not quite as large as the S. i bet you
would never think this but the E is the
same size as an Accord sedan.

The space in the e500 is absolutely pathetic. I really can't believe when I have people in the back of my car, they sometimes look uncomforatable. I miss my old S.
fazooley
i love the look of the E and the interior is even nicer.
add to that the fantastic MB engines and you have
a great car....but....it is just too small. i just can't
see spending 60k plus on a vehicle that can't haul 4
adults comfortably.....no matter what engine is
under the hood. i sometimes think that the CLS
is the size that the E should have been to begin
with. i have read more than once in the main auto
mags that this version E class "feels less substantial
than the outgoing model". before the CLS existed
the only other option a loyal MB customer had was
the extended version S classl. i still don't know
why MB doesn't bring the standard length S class
to the states. i personally think theres a market
for it. all the width but not quite all of the length
of an S.
???? What a rip off...anwayz now I have more knowledge on the CLS so thanx guys Last edited by Lexino; Dec 27, 2004 at 08:26 PM.
S class.
if they did offer it i might not be buyingthe swb A8. i wanted a car that had the width of the
S but not all of the length. more shoulder room basically.
i guess MB thinks the CLS will fill that gap. i think it will
sell well for them. plus it has recieved a ton of positive
publicity pre launch.
