Bought a 2000 S430 - extended warranty help

I got it for $27,000. Where do you guys suggest for an extended warranty? Can I still get the MB extended? I'm the second owner, about 6 months/5,000 miles over the original warranty. I remember a bunch of people posting about their good experience with <female-name> that sold them MB warranties...anyone remember the name and if she could help me?

What about other warranty companies? Have you made any claims through them? Did it all go well?

Thanks for the help!!

OK, I called Lisa and she's giving a 4 year/50,000 mile extended warranty through Chrysler (rewritten to include MB) for $3,590 with a $100 deductable. I called my local dealer and AAA, and their warranties excluded the COMMAND unit, which I heard has lots of problems.

It does NOT cover: maintainance, services, items used in services, wear items like manual clutches, brake pads, shoes, rotors, drums, belts, glass or plastic lenses, body and paint items including soft trim, snow plows, winches, and trailor hitches. I think this is a pretty good/reasonable list of exclusions.

What do you guys think? I was surprised I could still get one through them even though I was past 50k

a few Germans, a few Americans
I had 60k on my S when I purchased it and a warranty good till 100k cost me 4k more. If your interested in that I can find my paperwork to let you know who thats through. They covered an 8k repair but they had my car for 2 months and I had to start getting on their *** about it. But they did cover it.

Is this a MB sanctioned warranty? If it is then it sounds well worth the price of admission!

Is there a age / mileage cap, at which point this warranty could not be purchased?

Yeah, it's pretty much an MB warranty I think. Call up Lisa Lehrbaum at Courtesy Motors (800) 655-3535. She said she'll be there tomorrow (Thursday) at 10:00AM until 7:00PM Pacific time.
