21's on a w220?
I've seen a picture of 21"s on a S500 once. Does anyone know if 21s can be put on without running into any problems? I had no troubles with 20s so I want to see if i can push my luck and try out some 21s. Thanks

..one of them has a real bad bend on the inner lip. another has a tiny bend on both inner and outter lips which might be causing air to leak. one of the rims' lips are peeling a little. another rim has some pitting on the lip. everything else is mint. i paid 5500 new. not sure if im gonna repair and refinish before i sell or sell as is.
...again. any info about 21s on an S class? i've seen a picture of one before. purple i think. thanks

I see one parked at my office building every day W21s(LD1s) In my opinion the car doesnt look right because it sits up too high. He did have it lowered and had the AMG package. I saw GIovanna Dramas somewhere on car domain and it looked good.

The 21s can be done without very much work (perhaps minimal shaving of the control arm "nut" above the tire) the problem (as someone else noted) is lowering the damn thing. IMHO a Sclass on 21's with no drop is a nasty experience!
The other issue is staggered sizes, half of the great wheel experience is staggered sizes with a great lip out back. Continental has new 255/30 and 295/25-21 tires developed for the W215 chassis, but that car has larger wheel wells than the S!
Your best bet is probably a 21x9 on a 255/30-21 all around, and then get ready to mod!!
