And the knock on Japanese cars was that they were all gimicks and gadgets and now that the Germans are trying to out gimick and gadget the Japanese, you so called German car fans are claiming the Germans invented them! I guess people wouldn't accept MB copying a Japanese company so they instead ripped of BMW! If Lexus did that, I'm sure people on this board would have been laughing and degrading Lexus, but now that MB did it, its somehow OK?!

It would be a nice feature to accept input both ways for situations where you're entering a large amount of information, i.e. an address, or just to simply reduce the learning curve.

That said there are still need for buttons which are accessed frequently like window controls, A/C, audio, telephone, etc.
Do you offer any proof to go with your statements?
