MB should be ashamed for copying BMW7 so much

I guess the new MB "innnovation" is wheel flares.......sad
When BMW 7 came out, fugly or not, had nothing in common with W220, now W211 inside borrows A LOT from fugly 7. I bet BMW 745iL was unofficial MB muse.

why doesn't someone just say "hey, car A's copied car B, cuz its got a steering wheel, 4 wheels, leather and wood". oh, and a screen to display information. but wait, the Merc has TWO screens! and real buttons IN ADDITION to COMAND. AND COMAND can be controlled from either the "roller" or the steering wheel.
look at the pics again -- what's so similar? i could name dozens of differences. the new S is gona pound the 7 into submission.
and lets not forget, Merc was the one who started the trend of using a computer screen to display additional information, integrating the nav, radio, and CD player into one unit -- with the original COMAND. IIRC it was already in Japan market W140s in the mid-90s!
get over it

Crown Victoria

I am going to Frankfurt Auto Show in September; I will post pictures and impressions after seeing the real thing.
Anyone else remember where BMW had the ads in car magazines that said "New for 2006" and had a picture of a 2004 7-series. Funny, huh?
btw which ford, i'm wondering, does this look like?
but there's nothing wrong in sharing opinions, methinks. as long as it doesn't descend into shoving.
in reply to my own question above, realised the Ford in question is the Crown Vic -- sorry, never heard of that car, before entering this thread. so case closed for that one.
I'm keeping my E for a bit longer than I originally planned I guess....
