No, no. I wasn't trying to correct you or point that out in my post....
I think that what they've done is innovative - not sure if anyone else has done it/is already doing it before them - in that it doesn't have the problem with night-vision technology with bright light flare-outs (like night vision goggles) which would be just impossible on the road with another car's headlights coming at you; and it doesn't (apparently) require a heat signature to render an image - or you wouldn't be able to see the road, a tree, or a garbage can, for instance.
It really is neat stuff.

Yeah, I know. We were essentially saying the same thing. I wonder if the Lexus or Cadillac night vision systems were/are similiar to the MB design? I am sure they don't match the engineering of MB. I think they were heads up displayed on the windshield. The Lexus system had a hump on the dash that housed the projector. Pretty crummy looking, I would say.
